Chairman of NMC: BN Gangadhar has been appointed as the officiating Chairman of NMC National Medical Commission (NMC). Gangadhar is the president of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of NMC. He has replaced Suresh Sharma whose tenure ended today.
The ministry of health and family welfare assistance has given the directing charge to the MARB president for quite some time or until additional request till a standard arrangement of director is made for the commission. Gangadhar would assume responsibility as the administering executive of NMC on September 25.
"The matter has been analyzed in this Service and it has been chosen with the endorsement of the equipped power to allocate Administering Charge for the post of Executive, NMC to Dr. B. N. Gangadhar, President, Clinical Evaluation and Rating Board w.e.f. 25.09.2023 till a standard arrangement is made or for a time of 90 days or until additional request whichever is prior," read an authority letter from the wellbeing service.
"This issues with the endorsement of the Hon'ble Pastor of Wellbeing and Family Government assistance," the service added.
Gangadhar filled in as the senior teacher of psychiatry as well as overseer of the Public Organization of Emotional well-being and Neuro Sciences, Bengaluru. He concentrated on MBBS from Bangalore Clinical School and MD Psychiatry from NIMHANS and Specialist of Science from SVYASA College.
