Shimla: To motivate his scholars to exceed in studies, a government academy teacher in a small village in Himachal Pradesh then has blazoned free air, rail and road passages to students. Sandeep Sharma, teacher at the Government senior Secondary school in Balag, will spend from his fund to fund the passages. The quiet village is positioned on the Kotkhai- Solan road, some 60 km from Shimla.
students of classes 11 and 12 will be treated to an air trip to either Chandigarh or Dharamshala, while those securing loftiest marks in classes 9 and 10 will get to travel to Delhi by Kalka- New Delhi Shatabdi Express. Those beating the examinations in classes 6, 7 and 8 will be taken on a road trip to Chandigarh, Mr Sharma said. He said the idea is to produce a healthy competition among the scholars and motivate them to work hard.
” This won’t only lift their spirits but also give them exposure as not numerous of them have visited big metropolises. The scholars are formerly thrilled,” he told P.T.I. . Mr Sharma is of the opinion that financing passages is a better idea than giving cash prizes as the scholars will get to see and learn new effects and also feel confident.
He said the action has struck a passion with the scholars and they’re spending further time studying. preliminarily, Mr Sharma had spent Rs 10 lakh on revamping the Government elderly Secondary academy in Cheog, his alma mammy.
